We build solid works of art that can be worn through generations. Although we take pride in not having to fix something due to defects in workmanship or materials we stand behind our work and will do our best to satisfy you, our customer.

How to clean your Steel Flame Gear

The best way to clean your Steel Flame gear is with a mild soap and toothbrush, then rinse and pat dry. If you want to polish it, you can use a soft, treated jewelry polishing cloth.  Do not use any liquid silver dipping solutions such as Tarn-X or liquid polishing compounds as this will remove the oxidation and can leave a caked up residue. It is important to dry Royal Bronze or Copper thoroughly after cleaning.  Personally, we like to just leave the metal as is from wear as it will develop its own unique character and patina.

Returns:

We want to make sure you are 100% satisfied with the items you have purchased.  We guarantee everything we make.  If you are not satisfied with any of your items upon receipt or within 30 days from invoice date, you may send it back to us for an exchange, replacement or refund.  The item(s) must be in a new/unworn condition.  A 10% restocking fee applies to ALL returns.  
Shipping and Handling fees are not refundable.

Production and Materials

Vintage Gunmetal™ is a proprietary finish developed by Derrick Obatake. Oxidation is worked into the surface of the metal to bring out the highlights to give it an almost iridescent glow. The hue varies from silver to brown to blue/black. The look is very similar to the old school case hardening done on early Colt firearms. This is a surface finish and will wear in time. Through use your silver will develop its own patina that will be uniquely yours.

Dark Gunmetal™ is a proprietary finish developed by Derrick Obatake where oxidation is worked into the metal to bring out a very dark blue/black sheen. This finish looks very similar to dark gun bluing. This is a surface finish similar to Gun Bluing and will wear in time. Through use your silver will develop its own patina that will be uniquely yours.

Royal Bronze™ is a specially formulated alloy that we use. This combined with our Vintage Gunmetal™ finish makes for a very unique piece with character and depth.

KillboX™ was conceived almost two decades ago by Derrick Obatake by combining two passions – Target Shooting and Jewelry Design. Sterling Silver plate is formed by shooting it. The bullet hole is then trimmed and mounted into wearable art.
